Professional Experience

I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings, including:

  • Bridging Hope Counseling, Rogers, MN – 3 years as an outpatient therapist supporting children (Ages 5 and up), teens, adults, couples and families in an office setting.
  • Complementary Support Services, Minneapolis MN – 2 years as a CTSS and ARMHS practitioner, supporting children, teens and adults in home and community-based settings.
  • Wayzata and Anoka-Hennepin Schools, Multiple Cities-Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education as a licensed K–12 Visual Arts teacher and substitute teacher. These experiences gave me insight into the challenges students, families, and educators face in school settings, and I bring that understanding into my work with children, teens, and parents today.

This combination of clinical and educational experience allows me to approach therapy with creativity, patience, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.

Continuing Education and Professional Development

I actively pursue continuing education to stay current in the field and meet Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy’s CEU requirements (40 hours bi-annually). Recent areas of focus include:

  • Cultural Competency in Behavioral Health
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Clinical entrepreneurship and practice development
  • Imposter Syndrome/Self-Esteem
  • Parenting and Family Dynamics
