In-person appointments in Blaine and virtually across Minnesota
I offer therapy services in Blaine MN for teens, and adults. My work supports those navigating the changes of adolescents, recovering from divorce, seeking relationship counseling alone, and adjusting to major life changes, providing a safe and compassionate space to heal and grow.
It’s a tough time to be a kid. I help teenagers navigate the big shifts that come with growing up, from academic pressure and friendship drama to anxiety and self-esteem. My approach is relaxed and conversational, focusing on building trust first so we can handle the hard stuff together.
The biggest thing to be said about depression is, it sucks. Feeling like you’re not going to make it through today, let alone look forward to tomorrow, can be extremely exhausting. If you’re tired of just watching the clock until the days over so you can go to bed, or feeling disconnected from everything you love, there’s still hope that things can get better. Let’s work together to find what’s bringing you down, and create a life you look forward to.
Anxiety robs you of your confidence and certainty that life is going to be okay. If you’re tired of overthinking every decision that you make, or lying awake at 2 a.m. counting the hours of missed sleep, you know exactly how draining that is. It’s feeling like you can’t breathe, the nervous stomach, the fear that something bad will happen. You tell yourself that you are fine, but your body doesn’t believe it. Let’s work together to settle your nervous system and give bring back some certainty to your life.
Divorce isn’t just a legal process; it’s a total upheaval of your daily life and your identity. Whether you’re in the middle of it or trying to figure out your new normal, I provide a down-to-earth space to process the uncertainty. We’ll focus on exploring the emotions, managing stress, and helping you discover who you are on the other side.
It is exhausting to feel stuck in a relationship that isn’t working, especially when your partner refuses to come to couples therapy. Carrying the uncertainty, resentment, and constant “what ifs” completely on your own is heavy.
You don’t need your partner in the room to start changing the dynamic. I provide a down-to-earth space to focus entirely on your choices, your boundaries, and your peace of mind. We’ll focus on helping you stop second-guessing yourself, establishing clear limits that honor your needs, and helping you discover what you want your future to look like.
The unpredictable mood drops, sudden anxiety, and intense mental fatigue during perimenopause and menopause can make you feel entirely disconnected from your mind and your body. It is isolating to adjust to these changes while trying to keep up with your daily responsibilities. I provide a honest space to step back and untangle the emotional toll it takes. We’ll focus on finding ways to cope with anxiety, addressing your lows, and finding ways to help you feel back in control.
Whether it’s an ending, a beginning, or a change you didn’t see coming, major life changes have a way of pulling the rug out from under you. Even when a change is positive, the pressure to have it all figured out can leave you feeling very overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in the unknown. It is exhausting to pretend you are managing just fine while the uncertainty of the future makes you question every choice you make. I provide a supportive space to slow down and sort through the disruption. We’ll focus on figuring out ways to build certainty, and put one foot in front of the other so you can keep moving forward.
In the first few sessions of therapy, we’ll take time to get to know you and understand what brought you here. During the initial intake session, we’ll complete a diagnostic assessment to better understand your experiences and how they may be impacting your life. This is also when you’ll have space to share your story and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
Together, we’ll set goals that feel meaningful and create a treatment plan tailored just for you. While therapy isn’t usually a quick fix, the pace and length of your journey will be guided by your unique needs and what feels right for you.
Making progress often means exploring deeper feelings and uncovering what’s beneath the surface, but with patience and regular sessions, positive change can happen. Throughout the process, I’m here to support you every step of the way as we build trust and work toward growth in a way that honors your experience.

You don’t need to keep pretending you are fine
